TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION EQUIPMENT WITH COLLISION DETECTING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To expand the range of a received optical signal level possible for detecting collision detection by connecting an analog delay line to a drive circuit having a larger output impedance than the characteristic impedance of the said analog delay line. CONSTITUTION:A filter 25 having a transmission characteristic of sinpif/2f0 to a received 1B, 2B code is constituted by the analog delay line 19 and the drive circuit 2 having a larger output impedance than the characteristic impedance Z0 of the analog delay line 19. Then a midpoint level '0' and a DC balance point at an output of the filter 25 are made coincident so that the midpoint level '0' is not fluctuated depending on the received optical signal level. Thus, the collision detection is operated at a received optical signal level over a wide range.
