PURPOSE:To plan a considerable increase in a movement continuing time of an electronic timepiece using a solar cell by stopping at least one motor by keeping a detection on an energy accumulation condition and making the motor have a compensation driving by keeping a memory of the stoppage time numerically. CONSTITUTION:When an accumulated voltage of a condenser or others which accumulates energy generated by a solar cell drops below a specific value being detected by a voltage detection pulse generation circuit 23 and voltage detection circuit 6, a large electric consumptive motor 31 out of a plural number of motor such as a minute counting motor 25, a second counting motor 31 etc. is stopped through a switching circuit 28 etc. and at the same time, the stoppage time of the motor 31 is memorized with a start of time-counting by a sexagesimal up/down counter 27. And, when the detective voltage goes up more than the specific value and the stoppage of the motor 31 is released, the motor 31 is made to have a compensation driving based on a content of memory of the counter 27. With such a constitution, the movement continuing time of an electronic using a solar cell is considerably increased. |
