PURPOSE:To obtain a nuturally occuring solubilizing agent excellent in safety and having good solubilizing force, by extracting a soapberry with water or lower alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A soapberry being a useful natural substance reported having anti-implammatory effect is extracted with lower alcohol such as methyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol to obtain an extract. Extraction may be performed at room temp. or under heating. The extract is concentrated or dried to be used as a solubilizing agent in a conc. Solution or powder form. This soapberry extract is well in safety and shows excellent solubilizing force even in the comparison with polyxyethylene (60 mol) hardened caster oil often used as a solubilizing agent.
