PURPOSE:To make it possible to collect even ultra-fine particles with a particle size of about several Angstrom suspended in gas, by guiding gas containing suspended particles into a liquid to form a gas-liquid mixture system which is, in turn, stirred forcibly. CONSTITUTION:Gas A containing suspended particles is guided into the liquid L received in a container 1 from an introducing pipe 3 to form a gas-liquid mixture system in the vicinity of the lower end opening part of the introducing pipe 3. This mixture system is forcibly stirred by a stirring means such as a stirrer 4 to disperse the gas A throughout the liquid L as fine gas bubbles B. At this time, particles are collected by the liquid L and gas A' after the collection of particles is exhausted from an exhaust port 2. Because particles get a more chance receiving gravitational acceleration and the action of external force due to the rotation of the stirrer 4 and contacted with the liquid as the particle size thereof becomes larger and Brownian movement becomes more inactive, ultra-fine particles can be collected sufficiently and continuously.
