PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of charging and discharging with compact size by using amorphous V2O5 as an active material for a positive electrode and lithium or lithium alloy as an active material for a negative electrode, and utilizing an electrolyte which is chemically stable against both the active materials and can move lithium ions. CONSTITUTION:A sealing plate 1 for an opening portion, on which a metallic lithium electrode 4 is pressed and mounted is inserted into the recessed portion of a gasket 2, and a coin type cell is manufactured by mounting a separator 5 and a positive electrode mixture pellet 6 on the negative electrode 4 in this order, in the opening recessed portion of the sealing plate 1 for the opening portion, and covering the sealing plate with a positive electrode case 3 to calk therewith after injecting a suitable amount of, for example, 1.5 N- LiAsF6/2MeTHF as an electrolytic solution to cause it to impregnate. The pellet 6 is formed by mixing an amorphous material V2O5 as an active material for a positive electrode, black EC and polytetrafluoroethylene in the weight percent of, for example, 70:25:5. Thus, it is possible to increase the capacity of charging and discharging with compact size. |
