摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of a solder material to beused to uniform and distribute it, and to reduce plastic deformation after fixation by soldering the grooved surface of the 1st member, the optical fiber fixation area of the 2nd member, an optical fiber penetrating the groove, and the groove internal surface together. CONSTITUTION:Flux is used in the groove 11 of the 1st flat plate type member 12 to its overall length, the optical fiber 16 coated with metal is laid laterally penetrating the groove, and the tip 16a of the optical fiber 16 projects from the 1st member 12. A spare solder material 17b is stuck to the plane optical fiber fixation area 13 of the 2nd plate type member which has the optical fiber fixation area 13 and a plane optical element fixation area 14 formed by giving a step to the area 13. An optical element 18 is placed and fixed on the optical element fixation area 14 at a specific area and the 1st member 12 is inverted to match the surface where the groove 11 is formed with the surface of the optical fiber fixation area 13 on which the spare solder material 17b is stuck, and an ultrasonic soldering iron 32 is applied from the external surface of the 1st member 12 to fix the surfaces.
