One or more electrodes 3 are placed at the free end 29 of a nozzle 2. The points 31 of the electrodes are turned towards the outside as regards the engine jet J and are flush with the jet's outer edge 2T defined by a tangent to the inner wall of the nozzle 2. The radius of curvature of the ends 31 is less than 300 micrometres. The electrode 3 may be connected directly to the structure of the moving body carrying the jet or may be controlled by a feedback circuit as a function of an electric field measurement made on the same moving body. <IMAGE>
