PURPOSE:To obtain a low cost gyroscopic apparatus, by constituting an angle transmitting means from one rotary disc having a crescent slit and an optical displacement detector consisting of a light emitting element and a light receiving element. CONSTITUTION:A slit disc 12-1 has a crescent slit 12-1b having a radius R and a width B and extending over a 180 deg. angle range. Slit plates 12-3, 12-3' has detection slits 12-3a, 12-3'a and supported so as to be arranged in the side opposite to light emitting elements 12-2, 12-2' in a state interposing the slit disc 12-1 in opposed relation to said light emitting elements 12-2, 12-2' so as to provide a gap from the slit disc 12-1 and, further, light receiving element substrates 12-5, 12-5' having light receiving elements 12-4, 12-4' are arranged under said slit plates. When the angle of the slit disc 12-1, when the end parts C, C' of a slit 12-1b are positioned at the center of detection slits 12-3a, 12-3'a, is set to reference 0 deg. and output voltages V1, V2 are differentially connected, output voltage at a rotary angle 0 deg. comes to zero and an ideal transmitter is obtained.
