PURPOSE:The upper layer which is composed of a vinyl chloride resin and stainless steel fibers with diameters of less than specific value and the lower layer which is composed of a vinyl chloride resin and conductive carbon black are integrated to give an antistatic mat. CONSTITUTION:95-99.95vol% of a vinyl chloride resin and 5-0.05vol% of ultrafine stainless steel fibers of less than 20 micron diameter and melt-kneaded and made into a sheet by means of hot calender rolls to prepare the upper layer. In the meantime, 50-97vol% of a vinyl chloride resin and 50-3vol% of conductive carbon black are mixed and formed into a sheet by means of calender rolls to prepared the lower layer. Then, both layers are passed through between hot rollers into a sheet whereby an antistatic mat with semi-permanent antistatic effect is obtained.
