<p>PURPOSE:To acquire an oxide coated cathode composite of a stable service life with no deformation of a base metal and with a good immediate reaction, by using hot water quenched material added with yttrium or the like in a specific wt. ratio as a base metal. CONSTITUTION:A base metal 22 of an indirectly heated oxide coated cathode structure is composed of a hot water quenched material and is added with yttrium more than 0.05wt% and less than 2.0wt%, or, adding to this, with an electron radiating substance 23 including another metallic element such as silicon more than 0.01wt% and less than 4.5wt%. In such a way, is acquired an oxide cathode structure with a between mechanical strength, a long service life with a stable radioactive performance, and a better immediate reaction.</p> |
