PURPOSE:To make a time, required before a low pressure rotor having a shrinkage fit part reaches destruction by the development of stress corrosion crack, as long as possible, by monitoring the metal temp. of a rotor at start and stop times and performing operation corresponding to the metal temp. of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:Emitted light from a disc 16 has a wavelength and intensity corresponding to the metal temp. thereof and picked up by the leading end of an optical fiber 28 to be transmitted through the optical fiber 28 and converted to an electric signal corresponding to wavelength and intensity of emitted light by a light detector 29. The electric signal is processed by a processing display apparatus 30 to be displayed as temp. By this method, the temp. of the disc can be measured without applying any processing to the important machineries of a turbine and the disc 16 of a rotor and, by arranging the light detector 29 and a control display circuit 30 to the outside of a low pressure turbine, accurate processing can be performed without receiving the effect of the temp. and humidity in the turbine. |
