A method of producing an article of decorative stemware from a partly-formed article (1) includes marking the neck (4) of the partly-formed article before stretching it to form the stem (47) of the finished article (46). A machine for producing at least one such article of decorative stemware from a respective partly-formed article has at least one forming tool (23) for marking the circumference of the neck of the partly-formed article and means (19, 20, 21) for causing the tool to mark the neck before stretching it. The forming tool may be a toothed wheel. |
