A drive chain for moving an element consists of a motor (1), a reducing gear (2), a worm (3), a worm wheel (6) and a drive shaft (7) for the element. The torque which is transmitted on to the element is transmitted on to a potentiometer (10) by the axial movement of the worm (3) via a deflecting device (8) and a pivoted lever (9). The position of the potentiometer (10) is evaluated by a downstream electronic system (11). <IMAGE>
