PURPOSE:To manufacture a large caisson without using a floating dock, by a method wherein previously manufactured small caissons are combined together on a sea water surface to manufacture the lower body of the caisson, and concrete is placed thereon to manufacture an upper body. CONSTITUTION:The given number of small caissons 1a, previously manufactured in a shop, are floated on a sea water surface, the small caissons 1a are combined with each other depending upon the plane shape of a caisson, intended to be completed, to manufacture a caisson lower body 1A. Caisson upper bodies 1B and 1C are manufactured on the caisson lower body, in order, by cast-in- place concrete under a state in that the caisson lower body 1A is floated on a sea water surface through utilization of its buoyancy to complete a large caisson. This enables building of a large caisson without using a floating dock by all means. |
