PURPOSE:To provide the titled novel compound represented by a specific structural formula, having a polyoxyalkylene group containing terminal epoxy group, having hydrophilic property, antistaticity, compatibility with organic resins, and paintability, and suitable as an additive for various resins and rubbers. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound (e.g. the compound of formula III) is represented by the formula I {R is 1-10C univalent hydrocarbon group; A is R or Q [Q is group of formula II (R<1> is 3-5C alkylene; a and b are 0-30)]; x is 1-500; y is 0-100} and having at least one Q group in a molecule. The compound (e.g. the one wherein A is R) can be produced by the addition reaction of the organohydrogen polysiloxane of formula IV with a polyoxy- alkylene of formula V (R<2> is 3-5C alkenyl) containing alkenyl group and epoxy group, in the presence of a platinum-based catalyst such as chloroplatinic acid, etc.
