The invention relates to a switching-on current limiter for capacitive loads which are connected to a supply network by means of a rectifier (4) and inductors. According to the invention, each inductor is provided with a switching-on inductor (20), the internal impedance of the switching-on inductor (20) in each case being greater by a current-limiting factor than that of the inductor, and each switching-on inductor (20) having the capability to be switched over to a corresponding inductor. In consequence, a switching-on current limiter for capacitive loads is obtained, which is, for example, integrated in a transformer without significantly increasing the structural size in this case. <IMAGE>
