PURPOSE:To facilitate the start of a car on a slope by keeping the oil pressure in a wheel cylinder to the degree in which a car does not reversely travel in case of stop state and releasing the oil pressure in accordance with the start state on start. CONSTITUTION:A controller 10 judges if a car is in stop state or not and in start state or not, and electrically controls a control valve 6, and into said controller, each input signal of a tilt sensor 11, accelerator opening-degree sensor 12, car-speed sensor 13, etc. is input. When, operation is started, said control means judges if the tilt angle of the car is larger than a standard value or not, and when the angle is smaller than the standard value, the control valve 6 is held in opened state. When the tilt angle of the car is larger than the standard value, the control means judges if a foot brake is operated or not, and when the foot brake is released, the control valve 6 is closed, and a proper oil pressure can be held in a wheel cylinder.
