FULL SUBMERGENCE TYPE HYDROFOIL BOAT

PURPOSE:To improve rolling stability at turning by providing flaps at the submerged portion of struts mounted with the hydrofoils at the front and rear of the hull and concurrently and freely operating the front and rear flaps in the same direction or in the reverse direction, so as to generate rolling and turning moments independently. CONSTITUTION:Struts 2 and 3 are protruded at the front and rear of the center of gravity of a hull and full submergence type hydrofoils 4 and 5 are provided on their tips respectively. Flaps 6 and 7 are provided at the submerged portion of the respective struts 2 and 3 and are concurrently and freely operated around each of shafts 22 and 32 in the same direction or in the reverse direction. Only rolling moment is generated by turning the front and rear flaps in the same direction by the same angle and only turning moment is generated by turning the flaps in the reverse direction by the same angle. Each moment can properly be adjusted by independently operating both flaps. As a result, a boat can be kept in a stable state even at sudden turning.
