A process for the preparation of compounds of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 denotes a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having at most three carbon atoms, while R2 and R3 in each case denote a methyl, ethyl or propyl group such that R3 must be a methyl group when R2 is a propyl group, characterised in that a compound of the general formula II <IMAGE> in which R1 has the same meaning as in formula I, is reacted with an amine of the general formula III <IMAGE> in which R2 and R3 have the same meaning as in formula I, which is present in a large excess, in the presence of a polar solvent, at best in a lower alcohol, at a temperature from 40 to 70 DEG C and at normal atmospheric pressure, until the starting compound II no longer dissolves.
