PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-channel X-ray detector where the structure of electrodes is simple and the channel pitch is fine by applying a bias voltage to a bias electrode selectively in time division. CONSTITUTION:Signal electrodes S and the bias electrodes B are arranged alternately with an ionized gas inbetween. A capacitor C is connected to each signal electrode S and each bias electrode B is connected alternately two voltage supply lines D, E. Switches SW1, SW2 activated reversely together are provided at each end of the voltage supply lines D, E, the changeover switch SW1 gives selectively a bias voltage to the line D or E and the switch SW2 gives a common voltage to the E or D selectively.
