PURPOSE:To improve the utilizing efficiency of an exchange and to acquire an urgent or important data earlier at the reception side by providing a procedure intermitting the job under execution when an incoming call comes during operation, a procedure receiving the incoming call and processing it with interruption priority and a procedure restarting the job intermitted after the end of incoming call processing. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 2 in operation (immediately or set to intermission in case of the option) gives a command intermitting the processing executed at present to each section directly or via a CPU 5 to intermit the processing under execution to each section and saves the program, if required, a data from the expanding area of an MS 9 (to secure the expanding area required for reception processing). Then the program of the reception mode is selected, reception permission is given to an NCU 1 for the procedure of reception reply so as to execute the reception signal to be outputted from a receiver 6 and the end is supervised. As the processing is finished, the procedure of restarting the intermitted (progressed on the way) is executed or commanded for the execution and the procedure is restored to the old procedure.
