PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy casting excelling in castability, having medium strength and high ductility, and causing no coloring of anodic oxide film, by subjecting an Al alloy containing specific amounts of Mg, Si, Mn, Ti, B and Be to prescribed heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:The Al alloy consisting of, by weight, 2.5-4.5% Mg, 0.1-1.0% Si, <=1.0% Mn, 0.05-0.3% Ti, 0.001-0.01% B, 0.001-0.01% Be, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is cast, which is subjected to solution heat treatment at 560-600 deg.C and then to tempering at 100-300 deg.C. In this way, the Al alloy casting reduced in casting cracking, having sufficient tensile strength and yield strength without deterioration in elongation and causing no coloring of anodic oxide film can be obtained.
