PURPOSE:To eliminate an initial correction error at a picture signal section by storing a picture signal subject to sample-and-hold at no signal period of a read picture signal as shading distortion information and storing an output of the said sensor at picture signal period as it is into a memory. CONSTITUTION:When an On signal is given via a signal line 3a from a read control section at the read of a reference board synchronously with the 1st bit of the output of an image sensor 11, an analog switch 17 is turned on. Then an output voltage at the 1st bit of the image sensor 1 is subject to sample-and- hold by a capacitor 19 via an amplifier 5 and its output is given to a signal line 17a. On the other hand, a signal line 21a of an analog switch 21 and a signal line 17 of an analog switch 17 are connected during the non signal period B from the signal line 3b and a signal line 5a and the signal line 21a are connected at the picture signal period A and a control signal is given through the connection.
