PURPOSE:To avoid inconvenience of shortage of paper on the way of processing in forming images of plural sheets by selecting a printer having much paper with priority in a system where an output of a reader is fed to plural printers. CONSTITUTION:Plural readers 4-7 and plural printers 8-11 are connected to a multi-input/multi-output device 23 through signal lines 24, 25 so as to apply an output of an optional reader to plural printers. Plural storage stages of the printers 8-11 have recording paper of different sizes. When the size of the required recording paper and number of sheets are inputted from an optional reader, the device 23 checks the recording storage state of the printers 8-11 and discriminates a printer having the largest storage number with the same size and its storage stage. Then the picture is formed to the recording paper stored in the storage stage of the said printer.
