PURPOSE:To prevent surely the deviation of orientation of magnetic field of magnetic particles by applying a magnetic paint onto a base, irradiating an ultraviolet ray during the magnetic field orientation or just after the magnetic field orientation so as to semi-cure the paint and irradiating an electron ray to cure the paint. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic paint is applied by a coater 2 on the surface of the base made of a nonmagnetic film and magnetic particles are subject to horizontal or vertical magnetic field orientation by an ultraviolet ray during the processing of magnetic field orientation and an untraviolet ray lamp 8 is installed in the magnetic field orientation device 3 for the purpose. In applying semi-cure to the magnetic coating film, the viscosity of magnetic coating film is increased to some degree, then the mobility of the magnetic particles is restricted and the film is cured sufficiently by the irradiation of electron ray by the electron ray irradiating device 5. The semi-curing mentioned above is referred to as the state that the magnetic coating film is cross-linked to an extent not exceeding 50% by the irradiation of an ultraviolet ray, and the sufficiently cured state is referred to as the state that the film is cross-linked over 80% by the irradiation of the electron ray.
