<p>PURPOSE:To attain easily confirming the content of the recorded signal in a short time regardless of what the content is like by setting the first reproduction sensitivity level of the recorded signal in high-speed reproducing state, and later, by running the reproduction for a determined time after detecting the signal of the second reproduction sensitivity level that is higher than the said first level. CONSTITUTION:By operating an index scan switch 3, a selection control circuit 40 controls a tape running mechanism to be in high-speed feeding state with a reproducing head 1 being in contact with the magnetic tape, and the high-speed reproduction is operated. In a signal processing circuit 6 having a level setting function, if a signal detecting circuit 41 detects the fact that the reproduction sensitivity level in the reproduction output of the head 1 is lower than a level A and over a period of time t1 the output control signal of the circuit 41 causes a mechanism-control circuit 42 to become in the regular-speed reproducing state. The reproduction in the said state is continued for time t2 after the time when integral value being at level B or higher is detected, and then the high-speed reproducing state is automatically set. The selection control circuit 40, later, repeats the regular-speed reproduction and the high-speed reproduction likewise. Consequently, the content can be confirmed regardless of the level of the recorded signal.</p> |
