PURPOSE:To prevent a developer in a developing container from flowing reverse and flowing out wherever a developing device is by providing a reverse-flow preventing member in the developing container. CONSTITUTION:The reverse-flow preventing member 47 is provided between the container wall at the upper part and a developing roll 46 in the developing container 41. This reverse-flow preventing member 47 consists of a support member 47a and a flexible member 47b; the support member 47a is fitted to the container wall of the support member 47a and the tip of the flexible member 47b fitted to the support member 47a is arranged in contact with the developing roll 46 or at a slight interval. When a developing device 14Y rotates by 180 deg. to turn upside down, the developer in the container 41 banks in the gravitational direction, but the gap between the flexible member 47b of the reverse-flow preventing member 47 and developing sleeve 47b is blocked with a developer sticking in the gap to inhibit the movement from moving from the reverse-flow preventing member 47 to the space 50 in the container. |
