PURPOSE:To stabilize combustion in idle-up by operating a swirl controlling valve in the direction of reducing the swirl when intake amount is increased according to the increase of load in idling. CONSTITUTION:A switch valve 27 provided in a path 26 bypassing a throttle valve 18 is opened to increase intake air amount by a control device 31 when a load increase signal enters in idling an engine. Then, the control device 31 opens a little a switch valve 23 for a secondary intake path 22 provided in parallel to a primary intake path 21 for forming swirl. Thus, intake flows from the secondary intake path 22 into a combustion chamber 7 in the direction of overcoming strong swirl from the primary intake path 21 so that excessive swirl is obviated to stabilize combustion. |
