PURPOSE:To cool supercharging air by providing a heat exchanger for performing heat exchange between high temperature air discharged from a supercharger and fuel or the like in a fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:In a new charge pipe from a supercharger provided in a new charge path leading to a scavenging trank of an engine 6 is provided a heat exchanger for exchanging heat with fuel in a set tank 4 and a service tank 3 for storing fuel. In the respective tanks are provided preliminary heaters for heating fuel before starting an engine if necessary. In the normal running of the engine, fuel is heated by air heated to high temperature by compression heat of the supercharger so that not only any particular fuel heaters are not needed, but also the new charge is cooled to improve filling efficiency. When an auxiliary heater is provided in the tank to heat fuel, the new charge is heated by the fuel in the low temperature start of the engine to improve the starting property. |
