<p>A hydrodynamic device, including a vaned rotor wheel, a vaned stator wheel and an electromagnetic clutch, is located, as a heater, in a cooling water circuit of an internal combustion machine and can be switched on and off as a function of the temperature of the medium to be monitored. In order to obtain a further use for such a hydrodynamic device, the latter is arranged in such a way that, in a switched position in which it is not effective for heating, it is effective as a hydrodynamic clutch for driving the water pump.</p> |
