PURPOSE:To obtain a silver image having high maximum density (reflection density and transmission density), high contrast and high sharpness by incorporating a specified compound into a photosensitive material and/or an image receiving material. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formula 1 is incorporated into a photosensitive material and/or an image receiving material. In the formula, A is a substituent represented by a formula (a), each of R1-R3 is preferably 1-8C alkyl or phenyl, especially preferably substituted or unsubstituted methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl, and M may be an alkali metallic atom such as Li, Na or K. The compound represented by formula 1 includes a compound represented by formula 2. The compound is used in at least one of the constituent layers of such a photographic material by 10<-9>-10<-3>mol/m<2>. |
