PURPOSE:To measure a peripheral position of a sleeve, in a state that the titled device has been integrated into a copying machine body, by obtaining a peripheral surface displacement quantity of a sleeve of a magnetic brush developing device. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve S of a magnetic brush developing device is integrated into a copying machine body, and also a peripheral surface displacement measuring device 1 of the sleeve S is integrated into the copying machine body. Also, a supporting base 40 is fixed with a screw. Next, a positioning pin is made to pass through a pin hole C, a holder 10 is fixed at that position by adjusting ball plungers 41, 42, and the positioning pin is drawn out. By reading a digital value of digital dial gauges 25, 25' of this time, a position of the peripheral surface of the sleeve S to the axial core of a photosensitive drum in a reference position can be measured.
