PURPOSE:To know a position of a radiant energy source by providing a rotary drum, a radiation detector, an incident position detecting means, and a discriminating means for discriminating which zone the radiant energy source is positioned in. CONSTITUTION:Radiant energies L1-L5 reflected by reflection mirrors M1-M5 are irradiated in parallel roughly onto an (l) line in the longitudinal direction of a rotary drum 2. Opening O1-O5 of the rotary drum 2 come successively onto the (l) line, therefore, only one opening is always positioned on the (l) line, and the radiant energy L3 is made incident on a radiation detector 3 from the opening O3. In this way, when the rotary drum 2 rotates, the openings O1-O5 reach successively on the (l) line. When there is a radiant energy source in one of each zone Z1-Z5, its radiant energies L1-L5 are reflected by reflectors M1-M5, and when the corresponding openings O1-O5 exist on the (l) line, they are made to pass through them, made incident on the detector 3, and an output signal is generated. In this case, an incident position detector 4 also detects which opening has come to the (l) line, and a discriminating means 5 discriminates from which zone the radiant energy has come. |
