The invention relates to a method for the preparation of a solid or semisolid porous food product, gas bubbles being fed to the product after preparation but before the same has been made to solidify in its package, the said gas bubbles being formed in that gas is dissolved under pressure in the product or in some additive, the dissolved gas being liberated in the form of small gas bubbles in connection with, or before, the introduction of the product into its package.
