PURPOSE:To form three or more shapes for temperature change by combining at least two shape memory alloys (SMA) having different deforming temperature. CONSTITUTION:A stranded wire 3 is made of the one SMA wire 1 having lower deforming temperature and the other SMA wire 2 having higher deforming temperature, and kept straight under normal temperature. When temperature is raised up to the deforming level of the said SMA wire 1, the stranded wire 3 gives a semi-coil shape, due to the SMA wire 2 not being heated up to its deforming level. Then, when temperature has reached the deforming level of the SMA wire 2, a complete coil shape is formed. With a plurality of shape memory alloys of different deforming temperature combined, three or more shapes become available. |
