PURPOSE:To attain a stable electromagnetic conversion characteristic wit high reliability by providing a constrainer member which controls the movement longer than a prescribed extent of an arm in the direction of storage medium. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal arm 13 is made move in an direction opposite A for a length of the thickness (h) of a jacket 3 plus the amount of deforming of springs 6a and 6b so that a clearance wider than the said thickness (h) between magnetic heads 5a and 5b is secured. And, after a floppy disc 1 is inserted, the arm 13 is moved in the direction A. During said movement, the amount of movement of an arm 7 in the direction of A is controlled by a constraight surface 18a of a container member 18. Accordingly, the contact pressure of the heads 5a and 5b to a medium 2 is made a proper one exerted only by the springs 6a and 6b. As a result, the stable electromagnetic conversion characteristic with high reliability is obtained.
