PURPOSE:To take an anamorphic variable power copy excellent by varying the width of a slit in the 2nd image formation mode to less than in the 1st image formation mode and increasing electric power supplied to an exposure lamp. CONSTITUTION:When the magnification of an image forming device 1 is denoted as beta1, a scanning speed (v) is set to v=v2 (=V/beta1.beta2) for the moving speed V of a photosensitive body 6 in the 2nd image formation mode and then the magnification is set to beta1.beta2 times in the scanning direction of an original M and beta1 times in the direction perpendicular to the scanning direction. Namely, what is called the anamorphic variable power copy is taken. In this case, a silt width control means SC is provided to make the width (d) of a slit 3 less in the 2nd image formation mode than in the 1st image formation mode. Further, a controller performs controls so that the electric power supplied to the exposure lamp 2 is less than in the 1st image formation mode, thereby compensating a decrease in the quantity of light projected on a photosensitive drum 6 due to a decrease in the slit width (d) for reflected light L. |
