PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for skills in assembly work by temporarily fixing the carriage and an arm with an adhesive, then permanently fixing the two utilizing fastening tool, after positioning of an '0'-side magnetic head and '1'-side magnetic head is performed. CONSTITUTION:When fixing the carriage 2 and the arm 3, an instantaneous adhesive 17 is applied to the instantaneous adhesive application part A, and both two parts are temporarily fixed. The adhesive to be used for the temporary fixing exerts a resistant force sufficient to resist the revolutionary force applied during the work of permanent fixation with screws 5 i.e. a force that impairs the positional relation between said two parts. Because the permanent fixation utilizing the screws 5 is executed after the temporary fixation of the carriage 2 and the arm 3 with the adhesive 17, the positional relation between said two parts does not change, the permanent fixation can be achieved quickly and accurately. As a result, the assembly of the magnetic head carriage with stable quality and extremely excellent productivity can be achieved without any skill of the worker.
