PURPOSE:To make the forgery of a card difficult and to attain ease of discrimination of a true card by constituting the titled of an upper magnetic recording layer on which a magnetic material is oriented in a direction in parallel with the reading direction of data and a lower magnetic recording layer on which the magnetic material is partly oriented in parallel with the reading direction and oriented or not oriented partly in a tilted direction. CONSTITUTION:The upper magnetic recording layer 2A where a magnetic material of a magnetic recording layer 2 is oriented in parallel with the data reading direction on a base 1 and a lower magnetic recording layer 2B where a magnetic material is oriented partly in parallel with the reading direction and oriented or not oriented partly in a tilted direction are provided to a card, on which information is written in high and low recording densities and read in high and low recording densities. In forming the upper magnetic recording layer 2A, the layer is printed closely and the magnetic material is oriented and dried in a magnetic field in parallel with the reading direction. In forming the lower magnetic recording layer 2B, a part of the material is printed by pattern printing and oriented in a magnetic field in parallel with the reading direction and dried, then the other part is printed and oriented in a magnetic field tilted in the reading direction or not oriented and then dried. Thus, the forgery is difficult and the discrimination of a true card is attained surely.
