<p>Prodn. of 2,4-dichloro-5-fluoro-benzoic acid of formula (I), by reacting 2,4-dichloro-fluorobenzene of formula (II) with acetyl chloride in the presence of acylation catalysts and opt. in presence of diluents at 10-150 deg.C, the resulting 2,4-dichloro-5-fluoroaceto phenone of formula (III) is reacted (optionally after isolation) with a sodium hypochlorite solution (in the form of so-called chloride of soda) at 0-140 deg.C, and (I) is isolated by conventional methods.</p> |
