PURPOSE:To prevent adherence of molten slag to the inner pipe and avoid clinker troubles completely in the throat of a fluidized bed coal gasifying oven, by blowing steam into the outer pipe of a double tube provided at the throat of the oven and letting the steam spout through numerous small holes in the inner pipe. CONSTITUTION:Dust coal 10 having a particle diameter dmaller than 3mm is fed continuously into a reaction chamber 2 of a fluidized bed coal gasifying oven 1 by means of a screw feeder 5 and is burned together with a gasifying agent 11 which is a mixt. of O2 or air with steam and is blown through a gasifying agent blowing nozzle 6. Produced gas 13 and char 9 are sent from the oven top to a next process. Recovered char 9 is fed from a burner 7 into a combustion chamber 3 together with O2 12 for gasification. Ash in coal is flloculated into granules in the reaction chamber 2 and the granules are made to fall into the combustion chamber 3 through a throat 4 for discharge from the oven. Steam 23 is blown into an outer metal pipe 21 provided at the throat 4 through a steam blowing pipe 22 and is made to spout into the throat 4 through small holes 20a in an inner pipe 20 to cover inside surface of the inner pipe 20 and reduce surface temperature to below ash adhering temperature, thus preventing adherence of molten slag.
