PURPOSE:To facilitate stripping of filter cake by providing a means for moving back and forth parallelly to the filter cloth a pipe for ejecting compressed gas which is freely movable back and forth between each filter plate. CONSTITUTION:After a filter press has finished filtration work, compressed gas ejecting pipes 24, 24 and guiding plates 30, 30 for the blown ejected gas are descended to the upper part between each filter plate 5, 5 The compressed gas fed to the ejecting pipes 24, 24 from a compressed gas feed hose 42 through a header pipe 22 and connecting pipe 29, 29 is ejected from an ejecting nozzle 28 to collide the lower surface of the guiding plate 30, 30,. and is blown therefrom from above with a fixed angle to between the filter cloth 6, 6 on the surface of the filter plate 5, 5 and filter cake 11, 11 deposited on the filter cloth. Ejecting pipes 24, 24, for the compressed gas and guiding plates 30, 30 are descended downward from above the filter plate 5, 5, thus the filter cake is stripped.
