<p>EP--68319 A The waste turning plant has a chute (2) which connects a grate section (1) to a rotary kiln (3). The kiln rotates about a downwardly inclined axis and has a conical outlet. An afterburning chamber (4) is placed downstream of the kiln in the direction of travel of the waste and is provided with nozzles for feeding highly polluted waste water for combustion within the chamber of its organic content and for vaporisation of the liq. components. - A series of burners are located at the bottom of the chute for afterburning the waste conveyed from the grate section. The burners raise the temp. of the waste to a level suitable for combustion in the kiln.
