PURPOSE:To obtain the final shape only by cutting, by machining a formed surface, constituted by plural material blocks divided from a surface along the lengthwise direction of a molded article, by a cutter corresponding to a sectional shape of the formed surface. CONSTITUTION:A female mold material 11 prepares a pair of square pillar- shaped material blocks 1a, 1b being parallel to the draft direction of a molded article W and divided from a surface Q along the lengthwise direction of the molded article W. Subsequently, the blocks 1a, 1b, forming the outlined shape of a cavity part 2 by band sawing or weld cutting, is cut by a face milling cutter. Here the cutter, performing in this cutting open machining with no restriction of a cutter movement, enables high speed cutting to be performed. Next, a formed surface 2a is finished by using a forming milling cutter 5 to be moved in the two-dimensional direction. |
