PURPOSE:To form the titled membrane uniformly by using centrifugal force, by rotating a glass disc or glass bulb at high speed, and dropping a solution of a metallic compound for forming infrared reflecting and visible light- transparent membrane to the central part of the rotation. CONSTITUTION:The glass disc 1 is placed on a placing base having the formed vacuum holes 4 of the support stand 2, and sucked and fixed by the vacuum pump 7. The motor 3 is rotated at high speed in this state, and the glass disc 1 is rotated. In the rotating state, a small amount of a solution (e.g., tetrabutyl titanate-containing solution, etc.) of a metallic compound for forming an infrared reflecting and visible light-transparent membrane is dropped from the dropping hole 6 at the tip of a solution bottle set above the central part of the glass disc 1 on the glass disc, the disc 1 is removed, dried, sintered, reattached to the support stand 2, and these operation are then repeated alternately to form a TiP2 membrane and a SiO2 membrane. Consequently, a uniform and thin infrared reflecting and visible light-transparent membrane can be formed.
