The fishing rod bite indicator consists of a supporting rod (F) which is pushed into the ground adjacent to the fishing rod. There is also a forked top (E) with a pivot (C) for a balance arm (d). - The balance arm has an adjustable counterweight (A,B) which is adjusted so that the tip (G) of the arm rests on the fishing line with the arm set horizontally. If a fish takes the bait the tension on the line raises the balance arm.
