摘要 The problem that the invention is designed to solve is the development of a procedure and device for correcting deviations from the intended shape of plastically deformable objects within narrow tolerances. The problem is solved by a procedure in which the actual shape of the object is detected, the deviation from the intended shape is established and a correction stretch is determined for the deviation. The object is then subjected to a straightening operation in which the shape along the correction stretch is adjusted. A device comprising at least one measuring transducer (4) is thereby designed to detect the actual shape of the object (2) and emit a corresponding output signal, which is input in a unit (6, 8) for comparison with information on the intended shape of the object, which is stored in the unit, in order to determine the deviation. The unit emits an output signal, defining a correction stretch along the deviation. The output signal regulates a straightening device (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24) to correct the shape of the object along the correction stretch.The invention can be used to adjust shape defects of both rotationally symmetrical and non-symmetrical bodies of material that are plastically deformable.<IMAGE>
