PURPOSE:To obtain a maintenance-free clear coated film without requiring waxing, etc., by coating a clear paint consisting essentially of a fluoropolymer on a dry-on-wet basis on a solid overcoated film. CONSTITUTION:A clear paint consisting essentially of a fluoropolymer consisting of a unit shown by the formula (X is F or Cl and R is a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group) is coated on a dry-on-wet basis on a solid overcoated film to form a clear coated film. By this method, the adhesiveness is excellent even without using any sand, a maintenance-free clear coated film without requiring waxing, etc., can be obtained and the luster is improved even in a 2-coat overcoated film as well as in a 3-coat overcoated film. Furthermore, the fading of colors is controlled and weather ability is also improved.
