PURPOSE:To apply an excellent anticorrosive coat on the exposed surface of a steel pipe by coating a primer on the surface of the steel pipe, coating a sealant thereon, further providing a thermally non-shrinkable polyolefin coating material of specified composition thereon and adhering the material by compression. CONSTITUTION:A primer 4a contg. a reaction-curing resin which is adhesive to polyolefin is coated at least on the surface 4 of a polyolefin anticorrosive coated layer 2 to be brought into contact with a sealant around the exposed surface 3 of a steel pipe 1. A sealant 5 adhesive to the steel pipe 1 and contg. a reaction-curing resin is coated on the surface 4 to be brought into contact with the sealant and the exposed surface 3 of the steel pipe. Then a thermally non-shrinkable polyolefin coating material 6 at least one surface of which is coated with a primer 7 which is adhesive to polyolefin and contains a reaction- curing resin is provided so that the primer-coated surface contacts the sealant layer. The coating material 6 is adhered by compression at least on the sealant layer at latest before the primer 7 is cured.
