The seeds are stored in a cylindrical housing (10). A rotary disc inside the housing has a ring of recesses (42), each with a through hole (34) in the floor. The recesses are surrounded by protrusion forming cells. - As the disc rotates, individual seeds fall into the recesses and are held in position by vacuum on the opposite face of the disc. As the disc rotates past a dividing wall, the holes are aspirated so that the seeds fall into a chute (58).
